🔄 Returns & Refund Policy

We want every customer to be completely satisfied with their purchase. If something is not right, we are here to help. Our policy is aligned with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), No. 68 of 2008.

7-Day Return Window

You may return a product within 7 days of receiving it if it is:

• Defective, damaged, or not working as described
• Incorrect — wrong item delivered
• Materially different from the product description on the website

Condition of Returns

To qualify for a return or exchange, the product must be:

• In its original packaging (box, accessories, cables, manuals included)
• Unused and in the same condition you received it (for change-of-mind returns)
• Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation or payment receipt)

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned except in the case of a manufacturing defect:

• Products that have been physically damaged by the customer (drops, water damage, etc.)
• Products with missing serial numbers or tampered warranty seals
• Software, digital goods, or items consumed/used

How to Start a Return

2. Provide your name, order details, and a description or photo of the issue
3. We will confirm the return and provide collection or drop-off instructions within 24 hours
4. Once the item is received and inspected, we will process your refund or replacement within 5–7 business days

Refund Method

Refunds are processed via EFT (bank transfer) to the account you provide. We do not refund in cash. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

Warranty

All products sold by Solpath carry a warranty against manufacturing defects:

• New Appliances (fridges, washing machines, TVs, microwaves, stoves, freezers, dishwashers, air fryers, etc.) — 2-year warranty
• Pre-Owned Appliances (A Grade Used, B Grade Used) — 6-month warranty
• Phones & Laptops — 6-month warranty

If your product develops a fault within the warranty period through normal use:

• We will repair, replace, or refund the item — your choice
• We cover the cost of return collection for all warranty claims
• Warranty does not cover accidental damage, water damage, or misuse

2. Orders & Payment

• All orders are subject to availability and payment confirmation
• We accept payment via PayFast (card, instant EFT) and Standard Bank direct transfer
• For EFT payments, orders are only processed once proof of payment is received and verified
• We reserve the right to cancel an order if payment is not received within 24 hours of placing the order
• All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable

3. Pricing

• All prices shown on the website are final and include free nationwide delivery
• Prices are subject to change without prior notice
• In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing the order and offer a cancellation or correction
• Promotional prices apply only during the stated promotional period

4. Delivery

• We offer free delivery nationwide via The Courier Guy and Pep Stores
• Delivery takes 2–4 business days from payment confirmation
• Delivery times may vary during public holidays or high-demand periods
• A tracking number will be shared with you via WhatsApp once your order is dispatched
• We are not liable for delays caused by the courier beyond our control
• You are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery at the provided address

5. Product Descriptions

• We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate
• Minor colour or design variations may exist due to photography lighting and screen settings
• Products labelled "Pre-Owned" are second-hand units that have been inspected and confirmed to be in full working condition
• Specifications are provided by suppliers and may change without notice

6. Consumer Rights

Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008 are fully protected and apply to all transactions made with Solpath General Trading. This includes your right to:

• Fair, honest, and transparent business dealings
• Return defective goods within 6 months
• A refund, repair, or replacement for defective products
• Safe and quality products

7. Privacy

• We collect only the personal information necessary to fulfil your order (name, phone number, delivery address)
• Your information will never be sold to third parties
• Order information may be shared with our courier partners solely for the purpose of delivery
• Payment information is processed securely through PayFast and is not stored on our systems
• By placing an order you consent to us contacting you via WhatsApp for order updates

8. Limitation of Liability

• Solpath General Trading is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products beyond the purchase price paid
• Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product in question
• We are not responsible for damage caused by improper use, installation, or maintenance of products

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Solpath General Trading (Pty) Ltd or its suppliers. No part of this website may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
